Earn with what you already own

Your gear could be earning instead of gathering dust.

List an individual item or a complete hobby setup for people nearby to borrow. You decide what is available and approve each request.

How earning works

List clearly. Approve thoughtfully. Hand off with confidence.

01

List what you own

Add real photos, condition details, pricing, availability, and everything included. One ordinary item is enough to start.

02

Review the request

You choose whether to accept. Confirm dates and pickup details before the rental moves forward.

03

Document the handoff

Pickup and return condition photos create a shared record. The item comes home, ready to be useful again.

Renting compared with selling

Keep the thing. Earn from the access.

Selling can be right for things you no longer want. Renting makes more sense when an item is useful, durable, and sitting idle most of the month.

Rent it whenSell it when
You still use it occasionallyYou no longer want or need it
It can support repeated projectsIt is difficult to maintain or hand off
It is expensive to buy for one weekendIts useful life is nearly over
A complete setup makes it more usefulA permanent new owner is the better outcome

Owner questions

Before you list.

Do I need a complete kit?

No. Individual items and complete kits both belong on Cache. One folding table, one camera, or one sewing machine can be a legitimate listing.

Is this passive income?

It is a flexible side hustle, but not completely passive. Owners maintain listings, review requests, coordinate local handoffs, and keep items in borrowable condition.

Do I have to accept every request?

No. Cache is built around owner approval, so you decide whether a request works for you.

Start with one thing

List the item your neighbor should not have to buy.
